Barium Springs Home for Children provides foster care for children who must live outside their own homes for a variety of reasons. Some children need foster care during a family crisis, while others need care because of abuse or neglect, and others need structure and support managing mental health and behavioral needs.

Children are placed in foster homes licensed and approved by the state and Barium Springs.  Foster homes are selected based on their ability to provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment for children. Foster parents receive on-going training and support from foster care staff at Barium Springs Home for Children.  In addition to the care provided by the foster parents, children participating in our foster care program regularly receive case management, behavior support planning, counseling and crisis resopnse.
