Toby was severely abused and neglected--going days without eating. He was also exposed to drugs and gun violence at a very young age. When he first moved in with his foster mother, he was a very shy 12 year old boy afraid of everything... the dark, bright lights, noises, sleeping by windows, etc. Now, he's a compassionate young man looking for his "forever family" that will adopt him.

The pastor of the church he was attending with his therapeutic foster family approached Jeren’s foster parents and told them of him and his wife’s wishes to become Jeren’s “forever family.” They had grown close to Jeren over the last two years and wanted to make him their son. After they became licensed foster parents of Barium Springs, Jeren is now living with the pastor and his wife, and his adoption should be final within the year.
