Statesville, NC
Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students at Statesville Christian School raised over $200 to purchase books for Barium Springs Home for Children this March. Students filled jars in their teacher’s classrooms for one week. The teacher with the most money received a pie in the face.
Barium Springs Home for Children was presented with a check for $218.22 to purchase books from Scholastic Book Fairs. Ms. Wendy Clark’s classroom raised the most money. After receiving her pie in the face, Ms. Clark shares, “I don’t mind taking a pie in the face when it means doubling our money for books given to the children at Barium Springs.”
Thanks, Ms. Clark and students of Statesville Christian School!
