  • If you would like to inquire about services with Barium Springs, please contact intake at 704/924-7140 or 800/320-4157 extension 505.
  • If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact your assigned worker. If you are unable to locate their number, you may call Barium Springs and someone would be happy to assist you. That number is 704/873-1011 or 800/320-4157.
  • If you currently receive Community Support Services from Barium Springs, are experiencing a crisis, and it is after 5pm, please contact the Crisis Response line at 866/613-5179.
  • If you are experiencing a crisis and do not have Community Support and live in either Iredell, Yadkin or Surry counties, please contact the ACCESS line at Crossroads Behavioral Healthcare, and they will assist you with this crisis and schedule an appointment to meet with someone at Barium Springs. That number is 888/235-4673. They are available 24/7.
  • Don't live in Iredell, Yadkin or Surry counties? Contact Barium Springs Intake Assistant at 704-924-7140 and she will help direct you to the area services.

Missing Persons - Go to your nearest police station and file a missing person's report. Things you will need:

  1. Three current photos
  2. Complete names of medicines and what they are taken for, doctors names, any handicaps, allergies and medical conditions.
  3. What the person was last wearing- clothing, shoes, etc.
  4. A list of scars, tattoos, or any artificial limbs
  5. A list of jewelry, glasses, contact lenses, hat, belt, purse, wallet, money, ID, credit cards, etc.
  6. A complete physical description: color of hair, eyes, skin, weight, height, build, etc.
  7. The description of travel: direction headed, the means of travel (if car-make, model, year, color, size)
  8. A list of places the person frequents
  9. A total view of the situation surrounding when the person became missing, including accurate places, times and dates.
  10. A list of phone contacts and their relationship to the missing person
  11. After the report is filed:
    1. Be sure to obtain a case number and the name of the person in charge of your case from the police.
    2. File a report with the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons and keep track of the case number.
    3. File a report with Community United Effort (CUE) Center for Missing Persons and they will provide you with a C94 which is the case number and caseworker assigned to your case.
