 Barium Springs is looking for mature individuals and couples to serve as Therapeutic Foster Parents to provide a caring, nurturing and safe environment while teaching life skills to children between the ages of birth and 21.   

·         Must be 21 years of age
·         Must have adequate income/financial stability to cover your personal expenses
·         Must be able to pass a local and state/federal background check
·         Must have your own home
·         Must have transportation
·         Must have a telephone
·         Must have a flexible schedule
·         Must be able to handle emergency situations
·         Must be able to complete MAPP: Becoming a Therapeutic Foster Parent Training
·         Must be able to attend monthly In-Service Trainings
·         Must be able to offer a one-year commitment to fostering youth
·         Must be willing to open home to staff and team members as necessary
·         Must be a team player
Benefits for Foster Parents:
·         Barium Springs Home for Children will provide on-going weekly consultation
·         A monthly stipend will be paid to each home with placements based on placement date and discharge date.
·         Barium Springs will provide all trainings at no cost to its Therapeutic Foster Homes
